Honda hit a major milestone earlier this month when the company built its 30 millionth automobile in North America. The Japanese automaker first began producing vehicles in Marysville, OH, on November 1, 1982. Since then, Honda has grown to establish manufacturing plants in six North American cities. With $17 billion invested in auto, engine and transmission facilities across North America and the manpower of more than 28,000 associates, Honda was able to produce more than 97 percent of all the cars, trucks and SUVs it sold in the U.S. last year right here in North America.
