It might be mid-cycle, but the Nissan Altima is receiving a major makeover for the 2016 model year. Nissan unveiled the latest iteration of its best-selling vehicle in the country earlier this month, and the transformation is being called one of the most extensive mid-cycle product makeovers in the automaker’s history. Besides gaining a whole new look, the Altima lineup will also see the addition of two SR sport models, giving Nissan fans the souped-up sport sedan they crave.
In order to refresh the Altima, Nissan adopted its futuristic design language, “Energetic Flow.” The styling concept, first seen on the 2015 Nissan Murano and 2016 Maxima, includes a lowered, more muscular front fascia, distinctive V-motion grille, new hood (more…)

Last month, we gave you tips for getting your car, truck, SUV or minivan road-trip ready for the summer. But now that school’s out and things have calmed down, it’s time to actually head out for some summer fun! When choosing the perfect car to take on your adventure, why not go with Honda’s latest offering? The 2016 Honda Fit went on sale at our Honda dealership near Philadelphia, PA, at the beginning of the month, and it’s just the right blend of playful and practical, with its sporty-yet-refined driving dynamics, stylish good looks and an impressive 41 highway mpg.
If you’re stuck on where to go and what to do, we have a few suggestions for you. Take advantage of that great gas mileage and head out to one of the Philadelphia area’s several drive-in movie theaters. Drive-in theaters used to be all the rage, but over the past few decades the number of theaters has fallen from over 4,000 to less than 400. We’re lucky to have several right here in the Greater Philadelphia Area, so there’s no excuse not to celebrate the weekend with a Flashback Friday at the movies! Hit the road and have a little vintage-style fun in your modern Honda Fit.

Did you know that this week is National Pet Week? It’s a special time of year when you have the chance to celebrate the bond between you and your favorite furry four-legged friend. In honor of National Pet Week, we thought we’d help you get ready for the summer by providing you with some tips for taking Fido along with you in the car. We know how much you love to travel with your dog, and want to help you ensure your pet is always as safe as you are when riding in the car.
Check out our helpful list of tips for road-tripping with your favorite pooch:
It’s never safe for your dog to move freely about the cabin of your vehicle while you’re driving. Besides being a distraction for the driver, it’s not safe if you’re involved in an accident. If that does happen, your pet could be seriously injured. Plus, you don’t want your dog to press something they’re not supposed to, like the gas pedal!
- Make sure your dog is safely buckled into the backseat of your vehicle or confined in a crate. If you’re involved in an accident, an unrestrained dog could easily be thrown around the cabin.
- Always buckle your dog into the backseat. If an airbag deploys in the front, your pet could be injured.
- Never leave your dog unattended for long periods of time in a hot or cold car.
- If you’re taking your pet on a trip far from home, have a microchip put in it before you go. If you don’t want to do that, make sure it has a proper ID tag attached to its collar with your cell phone number.
- Learn the name of an emergency animal clinic near where you’re heading, just in case! This is especially important if your dog is getting up there in age.

Thirteen-year-old Stephanie’s father is an astronaut on the International Space Station, and she wanted to tell him how much she loves and misses him.

The Honda brand is already known for the innovative technology it weaves throughout all its vehicles. As far as technology advancements go, the automaker is an industry leader. From safety features to comfort and convenience amenities, Honda has made leaps and bounds to ensure its drivers are always ahead of the curve.
With that in mind, Honda’s latest announcement, that it has begun testing automated and connected vehicle technology at a new, designated facility, should come as no surprise. Honda showcased what it had been working on with automated technology just last year at ITS World Congress in Detroit. Viewers saw a vehicle capable of automated freeway merging, lane exiting and changing and vehicle-to-vehicle “virtual tow” capabilities. Now, Honda has its own newly-branded test-bed site to advance its new technologies. (more…)
